Allied Mechanical Services is seeking a Installation Foreman:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Installation Supervisor for HVAC/R to lead our installation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to read schematics and oversee projects from start to finish. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage resources, ensure compliance with safety standards, and deliver high-quality installations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of HVAC/R systems in commercial settings.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installations.
- Oversee the work of service technicians and other team members on-site.
- Conduct quality checks on installations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on installation techniques and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and practices.
- Proficiency in refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration.
- Experience in plumbing and appliance repair related to HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems maintenance, including boilers and air conditioning units.
- Ability to use tools such as an ohmmeter for equipment repair diagnostics.
- Welding skills for installation tasks as needed.
- Field service experience with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.
