-Position Summary:
This is a tenure-track faculty position that will beginning Fall of 2026 at the SouthShore Campus in Ruskin, Fl. This is not a remote position and will require faculty to be on campus. HCC faculty are expected to contribute to the college community through committee work, on-going professional development, and collaborative curriculum development. A passion for teaching and commitment to student success are essential.
Required Qualifications:
This position requires a master’s degree at the time of application. Candidates should possess either a master’s degree in computer science or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in computer science to qualify.
To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree and/or qualifying graduate semester hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants with community college teaching experience, experience with online teaching and online curriculum development, and experience working with a diverse population.

A faculty screening committee will analyze the strength of your application materials. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www.naces.org). To complete your application, you must attach a copy of your graduate academic transcripts from an accredited institution of higher education, showing attainment of at least the minimum qualifications. You should include a complete online application, CV, cover letter, unofficial transcripts, and professional references. The faculty screening committee will select the top candidates for an interview that includes comprehensive questions and may require a teaching demonstration.
Pay Rate:
Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union
Up to four salary steps may be applied to the starting salary based on experience.
