The Manager, Stakeholder Communications for AES Indiana is responsible for developing integrated and strategic communications plans that effectively tell the company story to AES Indiana customers and other key external stakeholders. As AES Indiana’s programs and offerings grow, this position is key in building trust and ensuring consistent, transparent, and impactful messaging that supports business goals, strengthens relationships, and enhances trust.
The ideal candidate is an excellent, versatile writer and editor who has experience crafting communications for a number of different audiences in digital and traditional channels, including social media, website, email communications, and more. This person is a big picture thinker who can help a wide variety of stakeholders translate their goals into creative campaigns.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop communications plans with defined key audiences and stakeholders, channels, and key messages to support AES Indiana initiatives
Manage customer communication channels and ensure clear, effective, and engaging communications materials and content
Build and manage AES Indiana editorial calendar that informs the development and execution of customer and stakeholder campaigns
Create compelling and engaging content that works on a variety of traditional and digital platforms
Lead the development and execution of customer success stories
Manage AES Indiana social media accounts with support from communications team members; post relevant content and monitor and respond to inquiries and comments from customers in a timely manner
Lead customer communications during storms and other crisis communications
Define and track metrics to assess effectiveness of campaigns and communications plans
Understand industry trends and translate into strategic communications that meet business needs
Champion brand standards, and ensure all messaging and communications are aligned

Qualifications:
BA or BS with 10-12 years of relevant experience.
Business acumen with the ability to understand complex issues.
In-depth understanding of the company’s strategy and direction for the future.
Ability to think creatively and innovatively; a strategic thinker.
Demonstrates initiative, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Strong project management, organizational, strategic planning, analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
