Job Description:

About the role:

As a Commissions Associate at Sun Life Financial Distribution, you'll play a crucial role in administering compensation for life commissions and wealth products. This exciting position offers the opportunity to provide accurate and timely administration of SLFD compensation within required deadlines. You'll be part of a team that offers technical and procedural advice on complex compensation inquiries, documents and implements new compensation processes, and investigates compensation issues and production problems.

What will you do?

• Update M2 system for manual commission calculations, error corrections, and adjustments
• Handle commission-related inquiries for Sun Life Financial Distribution, providing expertise and excellent customer service
• Consult with business partners on complex or unusual situations that may require unique solutions
• Develop and revise commission processes
• Ensure team documentation is accurate and up to date
• Manage and prioritize file cabinet in CSW, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of work assigned
• Provide accurate administration of compensation for life and wealth products

What do you need to succeed?

• 2+ years of experience with data entry and calculations
• Accounting & math skills for complex commission calculations and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
• Advanced time management and organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and in a team environment
• A positive attitude with a commitment to high-quality service

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of advisor commission and processes
• Previous experience working with SLFD
• Knowledge of M2, Univeris, Ingenium, LF, and CSW systems
• Knowledge of Sun Life retail products
• Basic knowledge of advisor organization incorporation/de-incorporation processes

Unique Requirements:

• Willingness to work overtime during mid-month and month-end cut-off periods or other peak workload times

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
