What you will do:
A Data Center Commissioning Engineer key responsibilities include reviewing designs, developing commissioning plans, managing testing processes (Levels 1-4) to validate equipment and integrated systems, and collaborating with construction teams and vendors to identify and resolve issues. This role requires a strong understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls systems, a background in engineering, and strong technical and project management skills.
A Commissioning Engineer is responsible for ensuring that PLC/DDC systems commissioning sequence & commissioning plan as per project requirements. Conduct system point to point testing and function performance testing .They will work with clients and team members to identify areas of improvement, optimize operations, and reduce engineering hours.
How you will do it:
Conduct testing and commissioning for Building management system or DCS system.
Developing and implementing comprehensive commissioning strategies, methodologies, and schedules aligned with industry best practices and company standards.
Troubleshooting on complex systems or 3rd party system integration to ensure system performance
Proactively identifying and resolving issues or design limitations found during testing by collaborating with design teams, vendors, and facility management.
Planning, coordinating, and executing testing activities, including system startup and integrated system testing, to verify that all components and systems perform to specifications
Collaborate with clients and team members to identify areas for improvement and recommend modifications to increase performance and reduce engineering hours.
Communicate project status updates, risks, and issues to the project team and stakeholders
Develop and execute commissioning plans, including functional testing, validation, and documentation
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Provide technical support to project teams, including engineers, contractors, and vendors
Work as part of a team of design and engineering and ops staff
Knowledge of ACMV and controls associate with Johnson Control Metasys or Niagara will be an advantage
What we look for:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 year relevant working experience
Experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting building management system or DC centre DCS system
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of engineering concepts and principles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and clients
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards
