This role focuses on growing Truven’s Health Plan & Government Market business by identifying, engaging, and closing new clients. You’ll lead strategic outreach, qualify opportunities, and position Health Insights and Flexible Analytics solutions to align with payer priorities. Once accounts are secured, you’ll collaborate across teams to ensure long-term client success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new client acquisition and revenue growth across health plans and government entities.

  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close—grounded in client needs and market insights.

  • Develop and execute targeted go-to-market strategies for payer and government segments.

  • Build trusted relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders across client organizations.

  • Collaborate with marketing, solution consulting, and delivery teams to ensure seamless client transitions.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends to inform proactive outreach and competitive positioning.

  • Consistently exceed sales quotas and maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline metrics.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably within health plan, payer, or public sector markets.

  • Proven track record of exceeding new business targets in complex, consultative environments.

  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.

  • In-depth understanding of payer and government procurement processes.

  • Ability to communicate value through insight-driven storytelling.

  • Strong business acumen, with experience managing pipeline, forecasts, and deal structures.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications a plus.

Compensation


The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

Min – Max :

$220,320.00 - $330,480.00 (USD)
