  • Level 1: Estimated hourly base pay: $21.63 (minimum) - $27.88 (midpoint) - $34.62 (maximum) Plus overtime

  • Level 2: Estimated hourly base pay: $25.00 (minimum) - $32.21 (midpoint) - $39.90 (maximum) Plus overtime

Woodward is hiring a CMM Operator to support our Fuel Metering Unit department at our Rock Cut Campus. This position is on 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:99am – 3:30pm. If you have previous CMM and/or CNC setup and operations experience, apply today!

Level 1:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Measurements: Utilizes calibrated instruments to perform precise measurements following standard operating procedures.

  • Maintain Equipment: Cleans, calibrates, and performs routine maintenance on metrology tools to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Record Data: Accurately documents measurement results and maintains detailed logs in compliance with quality guidelines.

  • Ensure Quality Compliance: Adheres to established quality standards and procedures to maintain measurement integrity and reliability.

  • Collaborate with Team Members: Communicates technical information and measurement findings effectively to support team objectives.

Key Skills:

  • Measurement Techniques: Proficient in using precision measurement instruments for dimensional analysis.

  • Standard Operating Procedures: Ability to follow established protocols and guidelines accurately.

  • Quality Control: Ensures adherence to quality standards in all measurements and processes.

Level 2:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, record, and analyze measurement data, ensuring compliance with quality standards and identifying any deviations.

  • Process Optimization: Utilize analytical methods to enhance metrology processes, improving efficiency and reducing measurement variability.

  • Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, measurement results, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

  • Problem Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot measurement related issues, applying established protocols to effectively resolve discrepancies.

Key Skills:

  • Precision Measurement: Expertise in conducting accurate measurements using advanced metrology instruments.

  • Calibration Techniques: Proficient in calibrating and maintaining measurement equipment to ensure data accuracy.

Additional Requirements:

Moderate physical activity requires agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds. Note: Some product lines have heavier lifting requirements due to product type.  Ability to stand for entire shift.  Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear. May be required to pass Near vision and/or Color vision examinations

Successful Candidates Typically Have:

  • 1 or more years of experience in CMM setup and operations

  • 1 or more years of proficiency with reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

  • 1 or more years of experience with CNC machine setup and operations
