CMDB Operations Lead

Key Role:

Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Define Configuration Items (CIs), develop naming standards, manage relationships, and ensure high data quality. Lead strategy and governance initiatives, collaborate with IT teams, and support IT service management processes. Be hands-on with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery, IT asset management, and service mapping, and work cross functionally within Booz Allen’s IT organization. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with IT service management
  • 3+ years of experience with CMDB management
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery
  • Experience with CSDM methodology
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices, including configuration management 
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT or CS field

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with data modeling, CI lifecycle management, and integrations
  • Knowledge of IT Operations Management (ITOM) and enterprise service management
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent communication skills, including translating technical concepts for different audiences
  • Possession of excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
