STV is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join the team. This position offers excellent potential for career advancement as this individual would assist staff and our other offices who have a direct impact on the improvement of our national infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an individual who desires to be part of a team, displays confidence, and possesses a vast understanding of roadway design principles.
Responsibilities include:
Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the GDOT and local County/City agencies
Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, typical sections, superelevation data and miscellaneous roadway detail sheets
Designing to adhere to ADA Standards
Coordinating design development and providing technical direction and mentorship to the design team
Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget, and the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages
Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
Maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers
Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license encouraged.
GDOT and municipal client experience is a plus
Minimum of 5+ years of transportation design experience
Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads modeling design software
OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Compensation Range:
