Salary:
$3,742.67 - $6,250.00 per month commensurate with experience.
Job Description Summary:
The Senior Employee Benefits Representative will provide professional administrative support to the Director and Associate Director, especially related to Request for Proposals (RFP) and contracting.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to telephone calls, service tickets and emails from employees/retirees, Human Resources (HR) personnel, and carrier representatives regarding benefits and enrollment procedures, and research eligibility exception requests for all System members.
- Respond to questions regarding benefit policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance for new Benefit Partners across the System as well as supplementary assistance for existing Benefit Partners in benefits-related areas.
- Coordinate special projects and assist the Director and Associate Director of Benefits Administration with other benefits-related tasks.
- Monitor and provide updates to program materials on the web, in the Benefits Procedures Manual, in Plan Documents, and communications.
- Represent the System Benefits Administration office by attending and participating in committee meetings and workshops as necessary.
- Manage the System Offices Wellness Program.
- Assist with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for all insurance, retirement and additional benefit-related programs.
- Assist with Open Records Requests for benefit-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of human resources or benefits-related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Word processing, spreadsheet and database software experience.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using the A&M System Workday System.
