Job Description

The Graduate School at Fort Hays State University is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Graduate Recruiter to help us attract the next generation of leaders. The graduate recruiter is an on-campus position that helps guide applicants through the admissions process, from inquiry to enrollment, develops and executes creative strategies to engage prospective students, uses data and trends to optimize recruitment efforts, manages all Graduate School and OSSP social media accounts, and utilizes a Content Management System (CMS) to maintain content specific webpages. Occasional travel is required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with University Marketing, Admissions, FHSU Online, and all academic departments with graduate programs to develop and implement effective strategies that use HubSpot to streamline synchronous communications, recruitment, and retention.
  • Communicates with prospective and current students by call, text, email, and other written correspondence through HubSpot and associated integrations.
  • Maintains, collects, and analyzes marketing, recruitment, and retention data.
  • Educates new and existing HubSpot users within academic departments on using HubSpot and its associated integrations to their full potential.
  • Responsible for user and license management in CRM under The Graduate School, including new user setup, deactivations, and permission levels.
  • Supports the University’s goals of attracting and graduating an academically talented and diverse graduate student population.
  • Improves existing processes across the website, Workday (SIS), HubSpot, and all overlapping educational technologies to create a fluid student experience, from new lead to alumni.
  • Works with The Graduate School and OSSP Director to maintain webpages using the CMS.
  • Creates and designs post for all Graduate School and OSSP social media accounts (such as Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, and Instagram).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of one year of directly related experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment including knowledge and understanding of distance education.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success working independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated dependability and strong customer service experience.
  • Ability to work with a diverse clientele, to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and to handle the demands of multiple deadlines and interruptions.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Applicants must be able to travel within and outside the state of Kansas.

Wage: $18.75/ hour


Appointment Date: January 2025
