Role Description:

Katalyst is in search of a Project Manager to steer our team through an exciting period of growth. This unique position is designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic roles, integrating product management (20%), engineering management (30%), and project management (50%).

You'll collaborate with government customers and prime contractors, and work closely with our Head of Product and Technical Lead to identify and mitigate project risks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional team members to establish project scope and objectives
  • Decomposition of high-level objectives into manageable tasks
  • Regularly update the roadmap through the Integrated Master Schedule
  • Collaborate closely with Katalyst’s Product Manager and Technical Lead to ensure the successful execution of key milestones and deliverables
  • Coordinate internal resources to accomplish project objectives and timelines effectively
  • Provide updates to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage external relationships with suppliers, consultants, subcontractors, and customers
  • Engage with the Head of Product to align project objectives with broader product strategies, ensuring cohesive progress towards strategic objectives
  • Exhibit ownership over execution end-to-end technical project 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • Familiarly with engineering and project management practices 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for commercial space activity 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain scope, budget, and timeline
  • Strong digital skills for data management, analysis, presentation, and communication 
  • Proficiency in MS Project and other project management tools
  • 3+ years of project management experience

Desired:

  • Experience in aerospace industry
  • Experience with government contracts acquisitions
  • Familiarity with the space environment, commercial space operations, or robotics
  • Technical background and familiarity with technical processes and systems
  • System design-oriented mindset
