We Require
Two years of professional analytical experience
Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, social work, education, political science or related field
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Experience with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act programs
Experience working with public sector processes and/or federal, state, or local programs
Human service or social service program development experience
Job Contributions
Analyze and evaluate Workforce Development Division (WDD) programs and contribute to the development of program, process, and operational strategies
Lead analytical and operational projects from inception to implementation, including project scope, project budget, project goals, and timelines
Collaborate intra-divisionally as well as with local governmental and nonprofit leaders to develop WDD projects to support initiatives
Research legislation and policy at the federal and state levels and updates WDD's policies, processes, and practices
Develop strong relationships with departmental leaders to create or enhance WDD program services to support their clientele.
Utilize various data management systems, including Arizona Job Connection and HSD Dynamics, to provide data, reports, and support to the WDD Division's Assistant Director and Managers in support of their projects and performance outcomes
Working Conditions
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license at the time of hire
Must complete background check and fingerprint identification upon hire to successfully secure and maintain DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
Work is routinely performed in an office environment
May require travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
