About the Role:
The Temporary Employment Services (TES), Office Assistant will provide administrative support to various departments and facilities on short term work assignments to cover employee vacation, leaves of absence or extra assistance. A TES, Office Assistant may be scheduled up to 35 hours per week when required.
The TES, Office Assistant will:
- Provide coverage and front-line administrative support on an as needed basis;
- Process forms, create employment contracts, cheque requisitions, travel claims, and purchase requisitions;
- Schedule appointments and room bookings.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative environment, including front-line reception or customer service;
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, web applications, email,
- Experience with bookkeeping, budget reconciliation, organizing events, database management including queries and reporting, mail merging, creating forms, organizing financial information and recordkeeping;
- Adaptability to undertake varying assignments of differing complexity or length, as well as be available on short notice;
- Ability to work independently or where supervision is minimal;
- Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to learn new processes and procedures with accuracy and speed;
- Proven capability to adapt to changing environments.
Salary
- Job Grade (F), Salary Scale ($20.75-$28.77 per hour)*;
- Starting rate will be $20.75 per hour
This position is included in the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) Union and:
- Salary is therefore determined by the OSSTF Collective agreement. *
- New members shall be placed on the salary grid at the entry level. *
