As a maintenance engineer you have the opportunity to work on and highly automated distribution and fulfilment technologies within the parcel, distribution and fulfilment industries. Our installed base MHE portfolio is rapidly growing with sortation and transportation technologies, AS/RS (Autostore, mini-loads, etc.), Robotics, AGVs, AMRs, and intelligent warehouse software. The asset management team is in development, we are looking for team members keen on building the organization and standards.
Role
You are responsible for the foundation and improvement of maintenance management, life cycle plans and setting the standard for continuous improvement activities and knowledge sharing between our engineering departments, our service organization and customers.
Most of your time you’ll work on maintenance engineering for FORTNA products and various highly automated distribution and fulfilment centres. You have a pivotal role between the Engineering stake holders, customers and the commercial departments. You will work on the further development of the FORTNA maintenance management software and asset management capabilities within FORTNA. Primary responsibilities include:
- First point of contact for the project teams and the customers regarding maintenance management of FORTNA integrated assets
- You are the developer and owner of FORTNA maintenance management metrics and its definitions to gather data, measure, monitor and analyse maintenance performance
- Develop specifications, test and implement a maintenance management software at our customer together with our suppliers and software teams
- You work together with the maintenance engineers in the asset management team on the maintenance demands for machines, it’s components and control systems. Support this with FMECA for the development of Preventive (PM) Maintenance Plans
- You develop customer specific life cycle plans for FORTNA assets and system integrations
- You and the team are the competency owner in the development of the maintenance engineering processes. You focus on standardization of methodology and processes within the company and team

What do you bring
- At least a Bachelor in an engineering field, or similar level gained with experience
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and convincingly
- Proven analytical skills and experience with data analytics
- Good consulting and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with maintenance management software (e.g. IBM Maximo)
- Knowledge of asset management methods, such as RCM, FMECA, RAMS, TCO, etc.
- Good oral and written skills in English and preferably Dutch. German is an advantage.
For this role you are based in Houten, the Netherlands. You are willing to travel internationally approximately 10 % of your time.
