Senior Financial Controllers are finance professionals who form part of the Global Finance team, working as part of the finance and accounting function. The Senior Financial Controller has a solid understanding of accounting practices, and their work ensures the smooth operation of the department.
The work of a Senior Financial Controller can vary from business unit to business unit depending on the composition of the department. Regardless of specific tasks assigned the Senior Financial Controller is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of transactions which are the basis of our internal and external reporting activities. A Senior Financial Controller will be assigned some of the more complex accounting activities in the department. They should possess advanced communications skills and should be able to handle the majority of their workload without a significant amount of direction.
What you will be responsible for:
- To overview accounting operation provided in GFS in Manila
- To reconcile balance sheet accounts (Local GAAP and IFRS)
- To support the annual accounts process
- To record all compensation payments, accruals and adjustments.
- To assist as needed with local tax filings (sales tax, VAT, etc.)
- To assist with the creation of vendor payments after validation of correct approvals.
- To maintain fixed asset subledgers
- To approve travel and expense claims and ensure company policies are being followed.
- To maintain internal cash reporting
- To support customer contracts creation and to overview billing process
- To prepare local stat reports and shareholder resolutions
- Perform other ad hoc reporting as needed.
- To assist internal and external auditors
A Senior Financial Controller will be assigned a specific portion of the month end closing responsibilities.
Other tasks assigned to a Senior Financial Controller may include preparation of journal entries
What we value:
- 10 years of working experience in finance department of a multinational company
- A good knowledge of Local and tax GAAP together with a basic knowledge of IFRS principles.
- Very good Knowledge of MS office – Excel
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Good organizational skills, capacity to works per priorities
- Good communication skills
