Position Description

The position starts with an intense focus on our commercial contracts and business development support and can expand into a wide variety of legal and operational areas, depending upon a candidate’s abilities and interests. Things that the right person can and will learn to do
      Draft, review, analyze and negotiate complex commercial agreements (SaaS/cloud-based licensing services, vendor contracts, NDAs, RFPs, )
      Develop and implement standards and policies surrounding privacy and data protection practices
      Advise business stakeholders
      Work with senior executives to help mitigate corporate risk
      Collaborate with HR to develop and implement company policies
      Employee support - hiring contracts/severance/etc.
      Develop and maintain a contract playbook
      Participate in diligence analyses
      Support M&A activity
      Manage external legal resources
      Create and implement cross-functional training processes
 
 
Requirements
      Thorough understanding of the principles of commercial contracts in a software business
      In-house experience in a high volume, dynamic environment
      Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and self-awareness are essential
      Excellent business judgement, know when to hold firm and when to agree to changes
      5-8 years of progressive responsibility in a contracts or broader legal environment
