Job Description
 

The LGT Capital Partners Private Equity Summer Internship Program is a unique opportunity for top performing students to gain first experience across the entire private equity investment process. The anticipated start date of the Summer Internship is 1 July 2025 with a duration of 10-12 weeks. The Program begins with a two-week training module, followed by on-the-job training, includes mentoring from an experienced investment professional, and offers various social events. Following a successful internship, high performers may receive the opportunity to join our team as a full-time analyst in summer 2026.

As a summer intern, you will join a team of more than 30 experienced investment professionals fully dedicated to direct private equity investments. Since 2010, our team has committed more than USD 10 billion to over 230 direct investments globally. Consideration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues is an integral part of our investment process as underlined by our dedicated impact fund focused on direct investments.

The 10-12 week summer internship will provide you with first insights into our business and hands-on experience. Among others, summer interns joining the Direct Investment Team will:

  • Assist the team in screening, analyzing, executing and monitoring direct investment opportunities, including co-investments, equity recaps and follow-on financings;
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling
  • Conduct industry research and business analysis;
  • Support the preparation of investment committee materials;
  • Maintain internal databases ensuring data quality and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Outstanding academic credentials from a leading university and currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor or Master degree program in business, economics, finance or similar;
  • Internship experience in a similar role is beneficial;
  • Advanced Excel skills and a solid understanding of financial modeling;
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills;
  • Self-starter personality with an international mindset;
  • Strong analytical skills with focus on details and high degree of quality.
