We are now looking for a Senior Development Engineer or a Development Engineer to join UPM Biochemicals' Molecular Separation team in Lappeenranta.
What you will do
You will work with development and optimization of in-line/on-line measurements for wood-based streams
You will be testing and evaluating new measurement instruments and technologiesYou will be responsible for process control improvements at UPM Biochemicals
You will be responsible for the timely and efficient realization of development projects with internal and external partners
You will be a key member of our Lappeenranta based process development team and work closely with your direct colleagues, supervisor, and other scientists, engineers, and business representatives to continue refining our unique wood-based refining process
You will be a member of the overall UPM Biochemicals team that is working to achieve profitable growth in the chemical market while ensuring UPM’s sustainable transformation
Who you are
You have a university degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or Biochemistry
As a Senior Development Engineer you have at least 5 years / as a Development Engineer you have 1-3 years of relevant work experience related to process technology
You have experience with pulp and papermaking technology, biomass-based materials and fluids, and inline/online measurements
You have experience with aqueous solutions of wood-based chemicals
You have experience in managing technical projects, especially with new technologies or chemicals and are passionate about these fields
You have a positive and innovative attitude
You are fluent in English, have excellent communication and presentation skills and have a readiness to travel
