The opportunity
The Senior Program Manager (Contract) Enterprise IT reports to the Project Management Office. This position is responsible for working with high-level stakeholders across the organization to ensure that key Data & Analytics initiatives are on track.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with CIO of Harvard Business Publishing to program manage key initiatives related to data & analytics.
- Ensure sufficient communication and coordination is happening across the initiatives as appropriate.
- Help the initiative leads anticipate and manage risks. Help each initiative lead report out on progress and risks at an exec summary level.
- Help the Initiative Leads remove any significant roadblocks - or if necessary, escalate to Co-Presidents.
- Solution with the Initiative Leads if anything is getting off track.
- Key initiative including Data Governance, Data architecture, Data collection, Data flow optimization, Content recommendations.
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years project/program management experience
- Academic, publishing, media, marketing, or communications environment a plus
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and writing) and ability to mediate and balance opposing stakeholder needs
- Familiarity with data & analytics preferred
- Outstanding project management and multi-tasking/organizational skills, including waterfall and agile development experience
- Attention to detail.
- Capable of quickly pivoting from tactics, frameworks, and processes that no longer serve the project.
- Ability to thrive in and contribute to a fast-paced environment of teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to prioritize among competing demands and achieve success with aggressive timelines and limited resources.
- Proficiency with desktop applications (MS Office), basic web applications, and project ticketing and management systems (Smartsheet, JIRA).
