Position Summary
The Account Executive Lead at EnerConnex will effectively build relationships, cultivate sales, and network with established organizations in an assigned territory. The core focus of this role is to promote consultation for the procurement of natural gas, electric, and other energy services to commercial and industrial customers within identified markets. This subject matter expert will proactively identify and analyze customer energy needs and develop customized energy solutions, while analyzing the market to ensure offerings remain competitive. This position helps establish EnerConnex as a “Preferred Energy Partner” by providing customers with timely, accurate, reliable, and high-quality service and problems resolutions. This position also plays a key role in project development process by communicating unmet customer needs, changing market dynamics and competitor offerings, and actively involving customers the process to ensure products add customer value.Essential Functions:
- Develop a competitively superior understanding of industrial and large commercial markets and leverage this expertise to proactively identify and analyze customer energy needs and develop customized energy solutions.
- Plan and develop sales strategies based on the competitive pressures and business goals driving a customer’s energy decisions and analyze competitive product and service offerings to drive improvements.
- Develop pro-forma analyses depicting the financial contributions of specific customers and/or customer segments.
- Coordinate the design of customized, supplemental energy reports for customer distribution.
- Represent the company at various business meetings and functions conducted by customers, business groups, municipal agencies, etc..
- Monitor and oversee designated accounts and facilitate a team approach to problem resolution among SJI subsidiaries; support the negotiation of pricing and terms of service agreements; review paperwork and agreements relative to providing service.
- Remain current on all tariff trends and regulations that impact natural gas, electric, and other energy services; assist in the preparation of budgets and sales forecasting.
- Identify potential procurement customers and referral contacts in all deregulated states.
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of business computer applications such as Microsoft Product and Salesforce
- Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with customers in a competitive environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Creativity while performing in a dynamic work environment
- Highly motivated to place cold calls to new prospects and to grow a book of business
Qualifications
Required Background:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or;
- Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Compensation Range:
$81,750 - 130,800We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
