We are seeking an experienced Cash, AR & Collections for our Lake Mary office. In this role, you will perform duties related to AMERICAS billing, invoicing, and credit memo processing. We are looking for talent in the Lake Mary area. Relocation is not authorized for this position. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting, you will also resolve issues or discrepancies, working within the limits of established guidelines and ensure GAAP and SOX compliances for billing and credit memos.

You have:
- High school diploma required, Associates degree or equivalent experience a plus
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in Collections.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in AR & cash applications
- Experience with SAP highly preferred
- Strong Excels kills including pivot tables & v-lookups
- Available to work overtime
- Fully fluent, professional level, Bilingual Spanish/English/Portuguese written and verbal preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Ability to process high volumes of transactions accurately and timely
- Extremely organized, detail oriented, multi-task fast paced worked a must
- Extremely comfortable with redundant work at high volumes in a fast-paced environment
- Requires excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
- Must be a fast-pace worker with ability to prioritize work in consideration of deadlines.
How will you make a difference @ FARO:
- Collections Responsibilities:
- US & Canada – Primary collections specialist with research as needed. Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates. Communicate with customers in a positive and friendly manner both verbal and written. Review A/R aging from A-Z, work through collection calls for every customer
- Identify issues attributing to account delinquency, negotiate payment dates and identify customers at risk of no-pay.
- Work from established procedures to make initial contact to advise customer of past due status, note full date of call, point of contact and date of when payment can be expected and document results in database. Follow up with additional levels of contact as required including additional telephone calls and collection letters. Work with customers to arrange terms or to provide additionally required documentation in order to facilitate payment of outstanding receivables. If calling about a credit balance, please keep history of each call and document the third try with a letter documenting the last attempts of a call. After three attempts to address credit, notify accounting manager or Director of Finance for processing through unclaimed property.
- Identify level of risk of no-pay for use by credit staff to determine bad debt reserve.
- Perform account reconciliations
- Accounts Receivable responsibilities:
- Daily cash application of US & Canada deposits-includes multiple lockboxes, electronic payments and credit cards.
- Customer payment reconciliations
- Documentation that each batch was applied in full.
- Investigate application of cash receipts and related issues in specific customer accounts. Communicate with customers regarding to over/under payments, acquire required information and documentation to resolve related issues and ensure clean accurate AR balances.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly report of cash received. Complete cash reconciliation daily and submit to manager for review / approval.
- Research unapplied cash. Goal is resolve unapplied cash daily. Gather and record information related to identification of payments on account or unidentified cash receipt. Ensure balances are clean, accurate and proper by end of every month.
- Reconcile cash receipts in US GAAP ERP.
- Reconcile cash receipts against lockbox deposit, bank statement and GL
- Monitor daily e-mail box and address inquiries for
- SOX Controls, Compliance and Record retention and archiving:
- Record retention management of AR documents
- Record retention of collection history for internal, audit and external customer requirements
- Document and implement departmental processes and procedures as required.
- Copy, file, scan and record documents as prescribed.

Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting of very lightweight materials, rare lifting of lightweight materials (up to 35 lbs.) Some pushing & pulling and reaching, continuous sitting, occasional standing and walking. Continuous use of computer, keyboard and mouse.
