The Sr. Human Resources Generalist serves as a vital link between Saputo’s team members, management, and external services groups, driving excellence in all facets of the human resources function. The person in this role is a key onsite business partner, developing strong relationships with employees and understanding of how HR can best support each Saputo department.
How You Will Make Contributions That Matter
Support plant management and employees with program administration, employee relations, retention, payroll, safety, training, performance management, compensation and benefits, and workers compensation activities
Conduct new hire onboarding activities, employee exit interviews, investigations, and employee engagement activities
Interprets and ensures consistent application of Saputo workplace policies
Has responsibility for location recruiting activities that include role assessment, candidate screening, interviewing, selection, background checks, and HR transactions in Workday
You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have The Following Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
At least 4 years of human resources and recruiting experience
Strong technical skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Workday experience preferred
Ability to build and maintain strong and positive business relationships, influencing and guiding others
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, problem solving, organization, and time management skills
Current knowledge of legal requirements for human resources, labor, and safety
Ability to remain approachable and accessible to employees
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking
