Job Summary: As a Cloud Software Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation, identifying opportunities and designing, developing, validating, and debugging software that enables Intel hardware features for cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises deployment models. You'll leverage your expertise in partner software stacks to optimize full-stack software spanning Operating Systems, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead and collaborate with teammates to identify, develop, and upstream Intel architecture optimizations into cloud open-source software spanning relational databases, NoSQL, data streaming services, and other open-source projects

  • Benchmark workloads at scale and analyze performance using advanced tools

  • Design and implement differentiated scalable solutions to improve performance utilizing Intel architecture features

Innovation and Development:

  • Design, implement, and upstream solutions into Relational Databases, NoSQL, data streaming services, and other open-source projects

  • Collaborate with industry leaders to push the boundaries of what's possible in cloud computing

Qualifications:

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM related field

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience including software development with a proven track record of pushing software to production

  • 1+ years of experience in Java, C++, or other high-level languages with cloud integration and cloud-native development frameworks

  • 1+ years of experience in architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems in large-scale cloud-native services with deep domain expertise in data management platforms

  • Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems in cloud-native environments, preferably leveraging containerization, serverless architectures, and managed cloud services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or higher

  • Expertise with modern cloud data platforms such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, Redshift, DynamoDB, Microsoft Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Google Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Oracle Autonomous Database, Snowflake, Databricks, OpenSearch, Redis, MongoDB Atlas, and/or other Vector Databases

  • Experience communicating with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, translate them to software features, and create technical designs

  • Experience consuming and utilizing new programming languages, design patterns, APIs, or tool set

  • 2+ years of experience enabling Intel Xeon platform features or implementing software optimizations

The Software and AI (SAI) Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

 

 

$169,820.00-322,070.00 USD
