What You Will Do:
Manage, monitor, and optimize ClickHouse clusters in production environments — including schema design, query tuning, replication setup, and capacity planning.
Operate and maintain Kafka, OpenSearch, and other distributed systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications and stateful workloads on Kubernetes, following best practices for security and resource efficiency.
Implement and maintain GitOps workflows to streamline infrastructure and application deployments through automation and version control.
Design and operate comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to enable proactive issue detection and fast resolution.
Conduct performance analysis and optimization across distributed systems to enhance resilience and meet SLA targets.
Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures, collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth, reliable operations.
What You Will Need:
Proven experience managing distributed systems in production with a deep understanding of distributed computing, consistency, and fault tolerance.
Experience with ClickHouse, including cluster operations, data modeling, MergeTree engines, query optimization, and replication strategies.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including StatefulSets, persistent volumes, networking, and security configurations.
Working knowledge of Apache Kafka
Working knowledge of analytics and search platforms with preference given to OpenSearch.
Experience implementing GitOps practices and using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Helm.
Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana, including metrics collection and alerting.
Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling development.
