WHO WE ARE

In this position, you will be a member of the Data Center Performance Engineering team. This team is responsible for performance benchmarking and analysis to enable DCG, sales engagement, marketing messaging, and influence future product development.

WHO YOU ARE

As the Cloud performance engineer, you will track cloud service provider instances and perform analysis on their capabilities and differences. You will create performance plans and engage with engineering teams to test/review data for technical accuracy and create compelling performance collateral for launches and field/customer enabling. You will also be required to work with your partners supporting various events for performance proof points.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Track cloud instances and workloads across major CSP offerings

  • Drive architecture and performance analysis/positioning of CPUs used in cloud

  • Identify key features and capabilities on Intel platforms and create plans and drive execution with benchmarking teams

  • Develop a strong understanding of best-known methods in data representation

  • Create compelling collateral for use in launch and field enabling activities

  • Build a strong network and partner with various teams - product, engineering, marketing, sales

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience

— or —

Master’s degree in the same fields with 3+ years of relevant experience

— or —

PhD in the same fields with 2+ years of relevant experience

Relevant work experience should be of the following:

  • Experience working in the computer industry

  • Experience with computer architecture and performance benchmarking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business acumen on key market segments - cloud, enterprise, HPC, Edge

  • Knowledge of key benchmarks in datacenter

  • Ability to assess competitive potential of announced and projected future platform products, including features, performance, etc.

  • Prior experience with system configuration, testing and benchmarking

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: 146,520.00 USD - 277,880.00 USD

 

 

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
