The Cloud Engineer will lead, evaluate, implement and maintain cloud services for all projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design, build and support complex cloud-based solutions using Azure (must have)
- Enable applications modernization and migration to Azure, focusing on robustness, scalability, performance, flexibility, security, and automation.
- Understand and apply security standards / guidelines / tools to adhere to the required cloud controls.
- Create detailed Azure technical design from architecture solution to ensure that the solution meets requirements and are aligned to architecture principles and technology stack.
- Support SIT, UAT, release, and production operations as needed, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, etc.
- Drive evaluation and adoption of new cloud technologies at architecture board.
- Establish a culture and environment where building, testing, and releasing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) could happen rapidly and frequently.
- Azure SQL and NoSQL Database administration for azure SQL MI, SQL Server, PostgreSQL single server, Flexible servers and Cosmos DB.
- Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse and Azure Data Lake resource provisioning and administration.
- Automate deployment, provisioning, and management of multiple Azure infrastructure components using CI/CD pipelines, Terraform and Ansible, including but not limited to virtual networks and subnets, VMs, storage, containers, serverless, VDI, logging, and monitoring.
- Perform regular maintenance for all Azure services including upgrade, patch, backup / restore, troubleshoot, and remediation.
- Drive DevOps (CI/CD) continuous improvements to automate development and release management.
- Knowledge on Microsoft Power Apps environments and administration.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Recognized degree or higher in Computer Science or related Engineering fields.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in designing / implementing Azure services and technologies for enterprise projects, including Azure AD, AKS, ASR, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Cosmos DB, Functions, Azure DevOps, etc; experience or knowledge with GCP is a plus.
- Demonstrated automation experience using PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and Terraform.
- Strong programming skills using Python, GO, PHP, Bash.
- Certifications are encouraged and demonstrate continuous learning of technologies essential for this role e.g. Azure (data & analytics, infrastructure & security) certifications.
