As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges. 
 
As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to effect mission-forward change.  On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.
You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:
4+ years of experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch
4+ years of experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and orchestration technologies
4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
2+ years of experience with Splunk engineering, administration, deployment, and maintenance in a large-scale environment
Experience administering Splunk Plugins in an AWS environment
Experience developing, maintaining, and deploying Ansible, Terraform, and Python configurations, scripts, and projects
Experience creating and maintaining Splunk, Grafana, or ElasticSearch or OpenSearch dashboards
Knowledge of networking concepts and AWS networking services, including VPC, subnets, security groups, and routing
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience working in log management or log shipping environments
Experience with knowledge management systems such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and ServiceNow
Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC, and working in an Agile development environment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Ability to build and implement event correlation rules, logic, and content in the security information and event management system in the Splunk platform
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with other engineering teams
Possession of excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or Data Engineer, or Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
