Closing Coordinator

What will you do in this role? As a Closing Coordinator. You will coordinate the closing process and act as liaison between homebuyers, sales, builders and lenders, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all purchase documents and closing dates. This is a fulltime in Office position.

  • Ensure sales contracts, addendums, deposits and change orders are entered into computer software for tracking and distribution to necessary parties. 
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all contracts and change orders submitted.
  • Prepare closing instructions to be sent to the Title Company.
  • Schedule closings to coordinate with Oakwood, Title, Buyers and Lender schedules
  • Communicate daily with lenders, Sales Team, Buyers, and Title Companies regarding upcoming transactions.
  • Review and approve Settlement Statements prior to closing
  • Update and distribute daily/weekly/monthly closing schedules through Excel
  • Ability to attend 8:00am daily meetings with construction, sales and production
  • Ability to attend and conduct weekly Backlog meetings with construction, sales and Loan Officers to ensure closing timeliness is tracked and managed
  • Greet Buyers and review documents at closing as needed
  • Perform related projects as assigned
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

You Have:

  • 2 years in an office environment, preferably in a Title Insurance or Builder Closing Department
  • A desire to learn
  • Experience providing business support in a busy environment
  • Ability to accurately enter data while maintaining confidentiality as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external customers through email, phone and in-person
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work in an in-office setting M-F 8-5pm

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual in person attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

  • Non- Exempt: $27.00 - $30.00 Hourly - This position is eligible for additional performance incentives in the form of a quarterly bonus opportunity.
