Job Description:

Clinical Teaching Assistant

Fairfield University Egan Austin Second Degree Nursing Program is seeking Clinical Teaching Assistants (CTA)  to assist program faculty with the supervision of students during simulation and laboratory learning experiences. Working under the supervision of Master’s or doctorally-prepared nursing faculty member, CTAs are responsible for supervision of students’ skills performance, student evaluation, and other aspects of student learning in simulation and laboratory learning environments.

Requirements for the CTA Role include:

• Current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas

• Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the designated area of teaching.

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Nursing

Part-time, no benefits. Up to 252 hours calendar per year.

Based in the Austin, TX campus.
