WaveLight GmbH is a global leader in developing and producing innovative laser systems for use in eye surgery, as well as surgical planning and image guidance for cataract surgeries. Since 2009, WaveLight has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcon, enabling gentle and highly precise correction of vision impairment.
As a Clinical Support and Product Development Specialist (m/w/d) supporting the R&D Clinical Team, you will be entrusted to work at our location in Teltow near Berlin.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Work collaboratively with software and hardware development teams to define new product requirements and specifications
Manage and execute product evaluations with surgeons and clinic staff
Document development results, including design specifications
Support new product introductions with surgeons, analyze feedback, and share findings with the project team
Create customer-facing documentation
Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for Alcon personnel
Provide fourth-level support for application-specific support requests from the field
Conduct clinical complaint investigations and prepare reports
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Natural science degree (biomedical, engineering, etc.) or degree / trained in Optometry
Fluent in English (spoken/written)
Proven experience in customer service, field service, clinical support and training in the medical devices industry
Strong communication skills, along with a solid work ethic and organizational abilities
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
NICE TO HAVE:
German language knowledge
Experience in operating and/or teaching the use of medical equipment, preferably in ophthalmic devices
Knowledge of clinical complaint investigation management activities
