Job Description Summary

Part-time Cleaner 2nd shift – Base Building & Lab Space (Non-GMP)

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across our base building areas and laboratory spaces. This role is focused on routine cleaning and sanitation of office, common, and lab support areas.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 5pm to 9pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and shared spaces.
  • Clean laboratory support spaces (non-GMP) including floors, benches, sinks, and common equipment surfaces.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom products.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
  • Clean windows, glass, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
  • Operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums) safely and effectively.
  • Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in lab areas.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisor.
  • Support periodic deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or cleaning services preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.
  • Comfortable working in laboratory environments (non-GMP).
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $15.00 - $17.20
