Claims Technician - Liability

Remote USA Full time

The Claims Technician provides support to the commercial auto claims team in a variety of ways, including preparing correspondence, processing payment requests, sending letters, and assisting with calls related to claims, among other tasks.  Will report to a Liability Supervisor. 

Job Responsibilities

Duties are not limited to the below and may expand over time.

  • Prepare forms and letters
  • Follow up on records requests
  • Process payment requests
  • Assist with any billing issues and communicate with external parties to resolve outstanding invoices
  • Order Police Reports
  • Assist with claim assignments and transfers
  • Assist with meeting scheduling
  • Run ISO searches
  • Vendors assignments
  • Various projects as needed by the department

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting assigned deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to speak and write knowledgably with internal and external clients
  • Proficient in MS Word, One Note, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a remote environment

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or higher

Experience

  • At least 2 years of office or similar experience.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided.  The salary range for this job is $50,000 to $65,000.  Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
