The Salvation Army (Salvos) Doorways model of care provides holistic financial support to individuals and families seeking short term financial assistance and ongoing financial management support services. The Doorways Team provide person-centred trauma informed care, facilitate short-term financial assistance, and walk side-by-side with participants as they build the skills and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty.

About the role

As a Driver, this is your opportunity to pick up toys from KMART and donations and deliver to either Doorways Perth or Doorways Catherine Street Morley.

Reporting to the Doorways State Manager, this is a casual position based in Northbridge, WA.


How you will make an impact

  • Assist in supporting Doorways and corps during the Christmas Cheer season.

  • Manage resources to achieve successful program outcomes with specified guidelines.

  • Provide general logistical advice to the Doorways State Manager.

  • Attend relevant TSA training as directed/required.

  • Goods are picked up, delivered, and stored in a safe manner, ensuring that safe food handling practices are adhered to, and appropriate records kept.

  • Assist in the regular cleaning, refuelling and scheduled servicing of TSA vehicles.

What you will bring

  • Proven experience adhering to, and monitoring, Work Health and Safety Standards (required).

  • A national police record check is required.

  • A current and valid Working with Children Check.

  • Current WA drivers license
