About the Role:

The family and friends team offer support and guidance to anyone who is impacted by someone else’s substance use. This role will require you working together with family members and friends to improve their understanding of why someone may use drugs or alcohol and to help them to make changes to their own behaviours.

This role requires outreach support and supporting people within the recovery centres to:

  • Deliver one to one sessions with adult family members and friends to increase drug and alcohol awareness, reduce enabling behaviours and improve their overall wellbeing
  • Deliver group family sessions of F&F SMART programme and CRAFT Programme
  • Deliver one to one sessions with children impacted by someone else's substance use.
  • Deliver the I See I Hear programme to current service users to improve their understanding of the impact that their drug and alcohol use may have had on their parenting.
  • The role of the Children Young People and Family (CYPF) Worker is to support children and families with a range of issues, offering intensive and flexible support to each family with an overarching aim to achieve positive outcomes working with families and other relevant services.
