Position Overview

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to the Vice President of Brand & Creative at Autodesk. This is a highly strategic and operational role, designed for someone who thrives on creating clarity, driving execution, and building the systems that allow creative and brand work to flourish. As Chief of Staff, you’ll serve as the Vice President’s right hand—ensuring the Brand & Creative organization operates with focus, discipline, and impact. You’ll translate vision into action, coordinate across leadership, and keep the team aligned on priorities. If the Vice President is the one setting direction and inspiring the work, you’re the one making sure the engine runs and delivers at scale. This role requires a balance of operational rigor, creative empathy, and executive presence. You’ll be a thought partner to the Vice President, a connector across Autodesk, and a steady hand guiding the day-to-day execution of big brand ambitions.

We are open to remote based candidates in either California or New York.

Responsibilities

  • Build processes, systems, and cadences that enable world-class creative work at speed

  • Ensure the leadership team is focused on the right things at the right time; track goals, OKRs, budgets, and key deliverables

  • Own follow-through from leadership meetings—turning ideas into action plans, assigning ownership, and holding teams accountable

  • Work closely with the VP to prepare for executive meetings, board-level discussions, and cross-functional initiatives

  • Interface with Marketing, Comms, Product, HR, Finance, and external partners to keep Brand & Creative integrated into the broader Autodesk ecosystem

  • Help craft internal messaging, lead org-wide updates, and ensure the team feels inspired, informed, and empowered

  • Represent the VP in meetings or decision-making moments when capacity is stretched

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years in strategy, operations, or marketing/creative leadership roles. Prior Chief of Staff, strategy consultant, or senior operations manager experience strongly preferred

  • Skilled at building frameworks, processes, and systems that make complexity manageable

  • Ability to see the big picture, connect dots, and anticipate what’s needed before it’s asked

  • A bias toward action, accountability, and measurable results

  • Clear, concise, and confident—comfortable working with executives, creative leaders, and cross-functional teams

  • High EQ, judgment, and discretion. Someone who can challenge and support in equal measure

  • Collaborative, steady, pragmatic, but also understands the creative mindset and how to enable—not stifle—it
