Job Summary
Direct and manage the operational and administrative responsibilities associated with the FERC Dam Safety and License requirements. This includes the drafting and filing of numerous reports, plans and other documents required in association with the environmental, recreation, operational, public and structural safety aspects of the facilities. Provide the necessary maintenance support to the Generation Hydro Facilities for Operations, Maintenance, Environmental and Major Projects. This position will require continual interface with various federal, state and local agencies as well as numerous corporate support departments.
Essential Functions
Ensures compliance to FERC issued operating license and is main liaison for all FERC communication and correspondence.
Knowledge of permit limits and requirements.
Maintains records and reports on condition and performance of the dams.
Site liaison between engineering consultants and project management group for large capital projects, and requires individual project management of smaller projects.
24/7 resource to the operations & maintenance personnel
Seasonal flooding may require shift work to support in manning the Emergency Operations Center.
Communicates and leads discussions of dam activities with all internal and external stakeholders (Emergency response teams, Lake Owner Association, DNR, etc).
Develops, updates, and delivers training programs for applicable personnel on dam safety, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
Updates and revises the Owner Dam Safety Program to ensure alignment with current regulatory standards and operational practices.
Conducts dam inspections to identify hazards and or risks to asset as well as develop mitigation plan to remove risk.
Lead response activities in emergency event and mock events with internal external stakeholders.
Ensures dam operations do not impact environment and makes certain all environmental compliance activities are met.
Creates, manages, and updates the budgets, schedules, Security Plan, Emergency Action Plan, and flood event planning activities, ensuring all documents are current, comprehensive, and effectively coordinated with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of the hydro facilities
Supports Operations & Maintenance Supervisors by performing supervisory duties as needed
Required Qualifications For Position
Bachelor's Degree in technical field
Five + years of experience in a process or industrial environment with exposure to legal/regulatory oversight
Valid driver's license.

Salary Range*:
$110,200.00 - $165,300.00*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
