Busy Bees at Armstrong Creek is a modern, purpose-built centre with 126 licensed places, located in the growing Armstrong Creek community. We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Chef who is passionate about preparing nutritious meals for children and contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys creativity, organisation, and making a meaningful impact in an early learning setting.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious, age-appropriate meals that meet dietary and allergy requirements

  • Plan weekly menus aligned with Busy Bees nutrition guidelines

  • Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene practices

  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and compliant with regulatory standards

  • Manage stock levels and place food orders as needed

  • Build warm, professional relationships with children, families, and educators

  • Bring creativity, efficiency, and a commitment to high-quality nutrition

  • Demonstrate experience working in a childcare environment

What You’ll Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Valid VIC Working with Children Check (Employee)

  • Food Safety / Food Handling Certification

  • Understanding of nutrition, dietary needs, allergies, and menu planning

  • Strong organisation, time management, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Australian working rights
