The Chapter Leader, Patient Support Programs plays a critical role in elevating the patient and customer experience. This leader is responsible for cultivating and guiding a high-performing team of experts dedicated to designing, implementing, and optimizing best-in-class Patient Support Programs.

In this strategic leadership capacity, the Chapter Leader will serve as a pivotal business leader. You possess a deep understanding of the product portfolio, translating the overarching PSP strategy into tangible and impactful initiatives for individual brands and therapy areas, thereby ensuring commercialization excellence. A significant aspect of this role involves maximizing the impact of the PSP team. This is achieved by establishing clear impact signals and diligently monitoring their progress, ensuring that the team's efforts are aligned with overarching business objectives and patient needs.

This influential leader is tasked with fostering innovation, driving seamless integration across various program components, and providing a strategic vision that will fundamentally shape the future of Patient Support Programs. Beyond program development and execution, the Chapter Leader is also accountable for creating an environment that enables their team to thrive. This includes ensuring appropriate resource allocation to adequately support all PSPs, fostering professional growth, and promoting a collaborative and high-performing culture.

The Opportunity

  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of patient support experts, consciously creating a workplace culture of teamwork, integrity, and passion. This includes coaching, mentoring, and ensuring flexible resource allocation to meet key business priorities.

  • Integrated Strategy Development & Collaborative Execution: Collaborate with internal partners (Commercial, Legal, Medical, Compliance) and global teams to ensure strategic alignment and share best practices, acting as a key thought-leader for the company with industry associations and key stakeholders.

  • Operational, Vendor & Financial Management: Accountable for all aspects of vendor performance, including contract negotiations, operational excellence, and audits, while driving the financial sustainability and cost-optimization of all programs without compromising patient experience.

  • Innovation, Digitalization & Data Integration: Champion digital transformation, innovation, and the adoption of new technologies (like AI) to drive program efficiencies. This includes leveraging data and insights in a compliant manner to optimize program performance and inform future business strategy.

Who You Are

  • An inspiring people leader: You have over 5 years of experience building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams. You are a leader who consciously creates a workplace culture of passion, integrity, and teamwork, fostering an environment where your team is empowered to thrive.

  • A strategic and operational expert: You possess over 10 years of deep experience in patient support programs, operations, vendor management, and other pharmaceutical commercial roles. You combine exceptional business and financial acumen with an in-depth knowledge of distribution channels to develop and execute complex strategies from vision to completion.

  • An influential collaborator: You demonstrate an exceptional ability to influence, negotiate, and align with senior leaders and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You build strong, trusting relationships to gain buy-in and successfully monitor and execute complex programs.

  • An innovative transformer and change agent: You are a technology advocate with a proven ability to drive digital transformation, leveraging AI and automation to create efficiencies. You thrive on leading complex change initiatives and using data to inform strategy and optimize performance.

  • Your foundational qualifications: You hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Science or Business) and have a strong, results-oriented mindset. An advanced degree (MBA, MSc) and bilingualism (English/French) are both considered strong assets for this role.

Our team follows a hybrid work structure where the majority of time is spent on our Mississauga campus.
