The Opportunity
The position of Certifying Scientist is within our Toxicology Laboratories located at Santa Rosa, CA. This critical role focuses on the review and certification of GC/MS and LC/MS/MS data following instrumental analysis for drugs of abuse. This role will be instrumental in delivering accurate, high-quality, and timely results to our clients.
Shift:
Monday - Friday
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
What You’ll Work On
Perform laboratory tests in accordance with laboratory standard procedures.
Review and certify forensic toxicology test results.
Document calibration and quality control results for forensic test data.
Provide assistance, training and support for laboratory technicians.
Reorder lab supplies, reagents, or consumables as authorized.
Follow all new and revised lab procedures as directed by the Department Manager, General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, or Lab Director.
Perform all other duties as may be requested by the Department Manager, General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, or Lab Director.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Medical Technology or, related chemical or biological sciences
1-2 years’ experience within an analytical laboratory
Preferred Qualifications
Experience reviewing mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS) data within a toxicology laboratory setting
Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
Must possess strong work ethic with commitment to safety, compliance, and quality

The base pay for this position is
$24.40 – $48.80/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
