VCA Chanhassen Animal Hospital is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Schedule: Full- time opportunity (33 - 38 hours), with rotating Saturdays.

 

Compensation: $ 20 -27/hr and the starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available. 

 

Snapshot of the Role: 

Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Technician or recent veterinary technician graduate, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: 

  • Collecting patient histories and performing physical exams.  

  • IVC placement and venipuncture 

  • Surgery Prep, monitoring anesthesia and postoperative care of the patient (recovery) 

  • Dentals and dental radiographs 

  • Maintain patient records   

  • Client education and communication 

  • Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures. 

  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and other prescribed treatments. 

  • Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care. 

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
