Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CBA - Custodian I to join our team! In this role, you will support the Faro Mine Remediation Project by performing custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in working areas, washrooms, and other premises such as offices, apartments, or houses. 

 

Local Candidates preferred but open to candidates who are available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis.  

 

These positions work shifts of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with 12 hours per shift.  

 

This role includes paid travel to and from the site as well as housing accommodations, but employees are responsible for providing their own food/meals. 

 

This position includes membership in the United Steelworkers Local 925. The hourly wage for this position is $25.84. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Clean and maintain working areas, washrooms, and premises in an orderly condition. 

  • Perform tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, polishing floors and metal fixtures or trimmings, dusting equipment, furniture, and fixtures, removing trash and other refuse, and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms. 

  • Manage and replenish cleaning supplies. 

  • Remove debris in and around facilities as needed. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

 

What Required Skills You’ll Bring: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • 3+ years of experience 

  • Must be able to stand for long period of time 

  • Ability to lift up to 20 kg 

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license 

  • Proven ability to concentrate, pay attention to detail, organize, priority set and be a team player 

  • Proven understanding of safe work practices and mitigating risk 

  • Ability to work with little supervision and function in a multidiscipline environment
