In this role, you will:
• Integrate Shopper Insights: Serve as a strategic thought partner to our Marketing, Sales Strategy, and Customer Facing Sales teams, championing masterful storytelling and uncovering best-in-class actionable insights across consumer, shopper, category, and market to shape strategic decisions.
• Drive Category Leadership: As Category Advisor for the specified customer and categories, create a category vision that highlights impactful customer opportunities and yields profitable growth for Clorox and the customer; actively supporting line reviews, and planogram development.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with buying teams, leveraging Retailer POS and Loyalty data to deliver effective category strategy recommendations and optimize the shopper experience.

In this role, you will:
Shopper Insights Integration
- Serves as insights integrator for the assigned Business Units (BUs), offering strategic thought partnership to Marketing, Sales Strategy, and Customer Facing Sales partners (commercial team).
- Act as the strategic voice of the shopper, transforming data into actionable insights and influences decisions across the organization.
- Champions masterful storytelling to share knowledge and enhance the commercial team’s understanding of consumer and shopper behavior with actionable insights. Shape the strategies that connect shoppers to brands and categories.
- Manages, mines, synthesizes and grows assigned BU’s Knowledge Base / Insight Library to ensure integrity and richness of insights.
- Uncovers and integrates multiple sources (NIQ, Shopper Intelligence, Numerator, consumer/shopper research and consumer segmentation, etc.), to develop best in class insights,
- In conjunction with Category Sales Strategy team, identifies category & Clorox opportunities and risks, to craft an effective set of choices that spark BU / Customer Team growth
- Manages insights ROI by continuously leveraging existing and directing generation of new insights to inform business decisions and integration into the commercial planning process
Category Advisory & Category Leadership
- Actively participates in Line Reviews, Plan-o-grams, and Category Captaincy with the intent of growing Top Line Sales for both the customer and Clorox.
- Creates a category vision at the customer by leveraging category, shopper, and consumer insights that highlight impactful customer opportunities AND yield profitable growth for the category
- Develop and present business/category reviews to the customer buyer on monthly basis by banner/category by leveraging Retailer’s POS Data, ACNielsen, Loyalty Data, and relevant shopper insights to identify risks and opportunities to positively influence customer decision-making towards rational, fact-based category decisions
- Using space management software to develop planograms that would be shopper centric, drives optimal layouts, and maximizes sales for the category
- Consistently expands influence and trust with customers
Other
- Co-Maintenance of the Power BI OMNI Dashboard
- Provide support to sales team relative to the POS databases/dashboards and syndicated databases
- Maintenance of the Customer POS databases within Clorox (expert contact and owner)

What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:
- 5- 7 years of related experience
- 3 – 5 Years Category Management experience with large retailer
- 2 – 3 Years Key Account Management in CPG organization
- 1 – 2 Years ACNielsen background
- 1 – 2 Years Category Analyst experience within Tier 1 CPG organization
Skills and Abilities
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, able to turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Proactive leader with strong collaboration and execution skills.
- Sound decision-making and ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments.
- Advanced data and analytics expertise to identify opportunities and drive growth.
- Demonstrated initiative and creativity, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong time and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities.
- Solid financial acumen and understanding of P&L drivers.
- Proficiency in Excel and JDA (required); experience with loyalty and syndicated data is an asset.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships internally and externally.
