Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a talented Calibration Technician to coordinate and manage all calibration activities within the calibration lab. This role includes overseeing, verifying, and performing calibration on tools and equipment such as ESD workstations, soldering stations, micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches. The technician will also install, test, and maintain various calibration and ESD-related systems, including measurement and test tools, assembly tools, ground blocks, wrist strap detectors, ESD workstations, and dissipative mat materials.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage the calibration lab, including all calibration tools and equipment.
Ensure proper labeling of equipment, maintain accurate records, verify that calibration is current and NIST-approved, and enter documents/certificates into the online tracking tool.
Use various types of test equipment such as multimeters, constant monitor testers, and resistance test kits.
Perform measurement and test equipment maintenance.
Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, electrical, mechanical, and analytical skills.
Effectively multitask and take on additional responsibilities as required.
Basic Qualifications
B.S. or equivalent plus 2+ years of applicable measurement/test equipment or other equipment maintenance experience.
Technical school certificate required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
Able to lift 35 lbs.
Able to be mobile for most of the workday.
Must be a US citizen, possess or able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
Performs other duties as required
Must reside in North Alabama or be willing to relocate to Huntsville – North Alabama, AL.
