Job Summary

You will serve as a C-5M Logistics Analyst for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), a key role within the KBR team assisting the C-5M Super Galaxy Division with evaluation, enhancement and execution of its Logistics Support Integration activities.  You will function as the key C-5M Program Office specialist responsible for logistics integration and supply/maintenance analysis support.  You will work with the Logistics, Engineering and Program Management teams to assist with the planning, managing, and coordination of C-5M life-cycle logistics support with emphasis on DMSMS items.  You will work in highly visible collaboration efforts with C-5M Division, Major Operating Commands (MAJCOMs), field level maintenance personnel, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA personnel in the development and evaluation of solutions aimed at increasing C-5M Materiel Availability objectives by improving its DMSMS posture.  You will apply in-depth logistics and supply system knowledge related to DMSMS to perform various tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system support strategy.  You will apply your logistics and DMSMS expertise to efforts improving C-5M aircraft availability, making key contributions to sustain the C-5’s capability to rapidly project and sustain effective combat power to potential battle areas across the globe. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform supply data collection and data trend analysis, including root cause analysis for sustainment issues using government supply chain management databases and tools.
  • Monitor data on current government supply operations, including sourcing, warehousing, deliveries and production scheduling. 
  • Identify and analyze DMSMS-related supply system deficiencies, develop appropriate solution options, and improvement implementation plans.
  • Monitor and track efforts to alleviate DMSMS issues, to include identification of new sources of supply, redesign efforts and qualification of new sources of supply or new part numbers
  • Develop options to improve stockage effectiveness and demand forecasting, briefing observations and conclusions to KBR and Government leadership

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site at Robins Air Force Base with some remote work allowable (~20%)
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required (0-20%)
  • Working Hours: 8 hours scheduled per day, with core hours 0900-1530.  Schedule flex allowable with supervisor’s permission.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least 10 years of experience directly related to the position
  • Bachelors Degree in logistics, management, business administration or related field.  Note – Additional experience may be considered sufficient to satisfy the degree requirement
  • Experience in DoD or USAF organizations performing logistics functions and demonstrating knowledge of current USAF supply and logistics processes, policies and procedure
  • Experience in supply operations supporting USAF and/or DoD system maintenance requirements, both depot and field
  • Experience supporting DoD ACAT I/II/III acquisition programs

Desired:

  • 20+ years experience in USAF and/or DoD logistics and supply systems operations
  • DoD supply experience supporting the C-5M at multiple organizational levels
  • Logistics experience supporting the C-5M
  • USAF program office experience
  • Relevant DAWIA certifications in logistics
  • Experience at multiple Air Force or DoD centers and geographic locations
