Sourcing and purchasing goods and services by selecting products, negotiating prices with suppliers to meet company needs and internal customer demand. Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends, placing and monitoring purchase orders, and ensuring product quality and timely delivery. Buyers need strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills to manage costs and relationships effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to secure the best quality, price, and delivery while ensuring all bids are fair, ethical, and lawful.
  • Analyze spending and vendor performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain high service standards.
  • Process purchase orders, monitor delivery, and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with contracts and timely payment processing.
  • Collaborate with company personnel to confirm product requirements and specifications are met by vendors.

Job Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelors Degree required

Required Experience:

  • 3 years of procurement experience
  • Experience managing service providers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, SAP MM & Ariba
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
