Job Description:
- Create and process purchase orders in accordance with Ferrovial Construction Procurement Procedures, based on requisitions from Site Operations Teams.
- Source materials and equipment, balancing quality, service, risk, and cost considerations.
- Conduct meetings with potential and existing suppliers to foster strong relationships and ensure compliance with site-specific requirements.
- Liaise with the wider Project Team on all procurement matters, providing updates on lead times and potential supply risks.
- Attend internal project meetings to report on procurement progress.
- Utilize ERP systems and tools for procurement processes and reporting.
- Promote sustainability in line with Ferrovial’s Sustainability Process.
- Support the Procurement Manager in monitoring supply chain performance and identifying issues.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier quotations, negotiations, orders, and correspondence.
- Perform additional duties as required to assist the Procurement and Commercial teams.
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in construction procurement.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems in a structured manner.
- Capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new software and systems.
