The Business Unit Administrator III position in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women’s Health will perform financial management, including monitoring, budget planning, reconciling and record keeping for all department accounts in order to report to the Executive Director and Chair of the Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is key to managing all department purchasing activities, including reallocating transactions made via division ProCards and Travel Cards, processing journal vouchers, travel and expense claims, payment requests, and requisitions.
Assist employees to understand how to submit requests properly using Workday Finance and correctly use university-issued payment cards.
Monitors actual revenues and expenses compared to the budget and prepares detailed variance reports for monthly leadership review.
Working closely with the department’s research team, they manage grants by ensuring budgets stay on track, preparing required reports, and handling related administrative tasks.
Tracking faculty and administrative salaries, updating funding sources within Workday, initiating Personnel Expense Transfers (PETs), and managing payroll activities such as supporting staff recruitment documentation, reviewing timesheets, and processing salary adjustments or one-time payments.
Providing financial advice to supervisors, training unit specialists on university finance processes, preparing special reports involving data analysis when needed, and participating in the leadership review of monthly financial dashboards.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$89,483.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$59,655.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
