About the Innovation Lab

Our Gen AI Innovation Lab is a 3-day, high-intensity program in which cross-functional teams redesign critical workflows and prototype AI-enabled solutions. Teams use tools such as Microsoft Copilot and low-code prototyping platforms to:

  • Map current-state processes and identify bottlenecks
  • Design future-state business experiences
  • Build lightweight prototypes and demo them to senior leaders

All curriculum, materials, and agendas are pre-designed by Correlation One. Business Transformation Coaches work side-by-side with teams to apply these methods, connect their ideas to real business outcomes, and keep each group moving from insight to prototype.

About the Role

Business Transformation Coaches are the hands-on guides for cross-functional teams inside our Gen AI Innovation Labs. You’ll sit with a team across the Lab, helping them decompose business workflows, identify high-impact opportunities, design AI-enabled solutions, and build prototypes and demos that resonate with business leaders.

This role blends process design, AI, rapid prototyping, and business storytelling

Key Responsibilities

Coaching Teams Through the Lab Journey

  • Guide teams to select a high-value workflow and clearly articulate the current state, pain points, and business impact.
  • Lead teams through business process decomposition to map steps, dependencies, and failure points.
  • Help teams identify where Gen AI and agents can augment or re-invent specific steps in the workflow.

Systems Thinking & Design Thinking

  • Facilitate structured discussions to move from problems to opportunities, then to capabilities and concepts.
  • Support teams in creating capability maps or blueprints that connect business outcomes, steps, and AI capabilities.
  • Encourage experimentation and rapid learning, helping teams test and refine their ideas throughout the Lab.

Hands-on Prototyping & AI Application

  • Work side-by-side with teams as they build flow diagrams, journey maps, and lightweight prototypes using tools such as FigJam, Miro, Lovable, or similar.
  • Support teams as they use Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools to draft prompts, generate content, or configure simple agent workflows.
  • Ensure that prototypes and demo artifacts clearly communicate the value proposition, target users, and expected business impact.

Enable Great Demos & Next Steps

  • Help teams craft clear, concise demo narratives that speak to senior leaders.
  • Coach presenters on framing business value (time savings, cost reduction, quality/accuracy gains, risk management).
  • Capture insights and blockers from teams and relay them back to the Lead Lab Architect and client sponsors.

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in roles such as business designer, design thinking coach, process improvement lead, product manager, or management consultant.
  • 1-3+ years of experience coaching teams in innovation labs, hackathons, or design sprints.
  • Strong group-facilitation and coaching skills; comfortable working with mixed-seniority groups in fast-moving workshop settings.
Proven systems-thinking skills: experience mapping end-to-end workflows and identifying leverage points for improvement.
  • Demonstrated design-thinking experience: discovery, ideation, experimentation, and iterative prototyping with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience prototyping visual artifacts (journey maps, process flows, capability maps) using digital whiteboarding or diagramming tools.
  • Practical familiarity with Gen AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar) and a strong interest in applying them to business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical or abstract concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
