As a Product Owner, Distribution Sales Compensation Administration (DSCA), you will be responsible for translating the product vision and strategy into actionable tasks, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals. The Product Owner role involves close collaboration with various partners to clarify requirements, prioritize tasks, and maintain up-to-date product documentation. The Product Owner will track progress to ensure timely delivery, participate in Agile ceremonies, and continuously learn Agile product management practices.
Work on a dedicated team of Business Analysts and Business Product Owners to develop and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with the overall product vision and strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, ensuring they are well-documented and prioritized
Maintain clear and up-to-date product documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Features and Feature Success Criteria, User Stories and User Story Acceptance Criteria, and meeting notes
Monitor the progress of product development, ensuring that features are ready for sprints and delivery timelines are met
Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to the continuous improvement of Agile practices within the team
Work closely with partners to ensure that the product meets customer needs and business objectives
Support the team in understanding and implementing Agile product management fundamentals and standard processes
May lead projects or project steps within a broader project
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
Strong communication skills to work closely with partners and ensure the product meets customer needs and business objectives
Excellent documentation skills to maintain clear and up-to-date product and project documentation, including traditional business requirements, features and feature success criteria, user stories and user story acceptance criteria
A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in product management or a related field
Proven ability to develop and manage product backlogs, ensuring alignment with product vision and strategy
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies
Ability to support the team in understanding and implementing Agile product management fundamentals and standard processes
Complex Requirements Elicitation and Documentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and self-organization skills
Proven ability to multitask across multiple projects with varying levels of complexity
Tolerance for ambiguity and quickly shifting priorities to stay aligned with company vision and goals
Ability to work collaboratively with team members and willingness to consider different ways of doing things
Familiarity with compensation-related mathematical functions and formulas, or ability and willingness to quickly learn business rules for compensation and apply relevant mathematical functions and formulas
Familiarity with Life and Disability insurance principles, or ability and willingness to quickly learn them

Salary Range:
$77,570.00 - $127,430.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
